Grant scheme to support mental health projects
Voluntary organisations, community groups and parish councils in Framlingham, Wickham Market, Kelsale, Yoxford and the surrounding villages are now able to apply for grant funding to support projects that enable residents to ‘try something new’ to aid their mental health and wellbeing.
The scheme, made possible with funding from the Framlingham, Wickham Market, Kelsale and Yoxford and villages Community Partnership, will provide grants for projects that help residents in those areas to try different activities which will improve and support their mental health and wellbeing. Organisations can apply for between £500 and £1,000 from a total initial fund of £4,000 for a range of projects, providing they supply individuals or families with activities locally that they otherwise would not be able to try or access.
Applications require completion of an application form that will be appraised by East Suffolk Council officers before going to a panel of members of the Community Partnership for a decision.
Applications open on May 3 and close at 9am on 28 May 2024.
You can easily check if your village is eligible for this fund - any in light blue on this map are encouraged to apply.
