Suffolk Coastal and Waveney provide public conveniences in 62 locations across the districts. Many of them are located close to or in Council operated car parks, shopping areas and on major traffic routes. We have others in parks and yacht stations and most have toilets accessible to people with disabilities and baby changing facilities.
Opening hours vary with some open 24 hours a day, others closed overnight. Some public conveniences are only open seasonally.
A limited number of conveniences have attendance during all opening hours. This is to ensure that these heavily used toilets are kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day.
All other conveniences are cleaned once per day with a second clean at some busy ones during the summer period.
We do not offer Radar keys anymore. All our toilets for people with disabilities are part of the Radar National Key Scheme except for the Changing Places toilets incorporated into the facilities located at Crescent Road and Martello Park south car parks in Felixstowe, which provide extra features for people with disabilities and require a special key.
