4. Induction and training

4.1. Induction

All staff and volunteers who work with children, young people and adults at risk should receive clear induction and training in recognising and understanding possible signs of abuse and know what steps need to be taken to provide protection. This is in accordance with the guidance “Competence Does Matter: Safeguarding Training for all Employees and Volunteers 2019”. All training will include guidance on all relevant procedures in treating all vulnerable groups with respect. Induction training will be in the form of an e-learning module and supplemented by guidance from line managers on specific team procedures. All staff and volunteers will be directed to the safeguarding area on the Intranet for further advice.

4.2. Further training

Further approved training will be given according to job roles at the appropriate levels.
