Handbook for tenants
Our Tenant's Handbook is a guide to the housing services delivered to our tenants. Every new tenant is given one of these handbooks. It describes tenants' rights and responsibilities and our responsibilities as a landlord. It also contains information about tenancy agreements.
The handbook is an important reference document. It contains a section on your tenancy agreement, and the conditions that you, and the council must comply with. Additionally, it gives in clear and simple terms information about a range of housing services.
Repairs Policy
Our East Suffolk Repairs Policy is a guide to repairs, service and standards for tenants of East Suffolk Council. It is provided to every new tenant and should be the first point of reference before requesting a repair.
It explains who is responsible for most common repairs and also the timescale we would expect to attend to these if they were the councils responsibility.
