Safe Suffolk Renters

Safe Suffolk Renters works in East and West Suffolk Council areas, and aims to build trust, improve housing standards, and foster long-term sustainability in East and West Suffolk.

Suffolk’s private rented sector (PRS) plays a vital role in meeting local housing needs and supporting the economy. But to truly thrive, it must offer safe, healthy, and affordable homes- and that requires collaboration across tenants, landlords, property managers, and councils.

Originally part of the Pathfinder programme, we now continue forward as an initiative funded by East and West Suffolk Council.

Further information is available on the Safe Suffolk Renters project website.

Housing Stock Condition Report

Part of the Safe Suffolk Renters funding was allocated to creating an up-to-date Suffolk wide housing database.

BRE were commissioned to complete this work, and Safe Suffolk Renters are pleased to announce the release of its Integrated Dwelling Level Housing Stock Modelling and Database Report.

This report and associated database will allow targeted interventions from a range of Local Authority teams, to improve housing, health and energy efficiency.
