Keeping communal areas safe
You must keep the communal areas of your housing block free of hazards to ensure there is a clear route of exit in the event of an emergency.
You should never store items or leave flammable materials such as rubbish or cardboard in the communal areas.
Large items such as pushchairs and bicycles should be stored inside your property, in your shed, or in dedicated storage areas such as communal bicycle sheds.
You must never store or charge items with lithium batteries in communal areas. This includes mobility scooters, electric scooters, and electric bicycles.
