Aldringham cum Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan was prepared by Aldringham cum Thorpe Parish Council following consultation with the local community and is used alongside the Local Plan when making decisions on planning applications in the area.

A referendum was held on 12 February 2026. 94% voted in favour of the Aldringham cum Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan.

Independent Examination
The examination of the Aldringham cum Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan was carried out by Independent Examiner Andrew Ashcroft.
Submission
Aldringham cum Thorpe Parish Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to East Suffolk Council ahead of it being submitted for independent examination. East Suffolk Council publicised the plan and invited representations between 7 May and 18 June 2025.
