Construction is underway on The Nexus development, which is looking to regenerate the industrial zone known as the Power Park in Lowestoft.
To support businesses investing in Lowestoft, a high-quality scheme comprising 16 flexible units is coming to the Power Park in 2024.
The Nexus, on Newcombe Road, is a £4.27million development being delivered by East Suffolk Council and will include modern business units of varying sizes available to let for office and light industrial uses, with allocated on-site EV parking.
The development offers easy access to the Port of Lowestoft, OrbisEnergy and East Coast College’s Energy Skills Centre. Due for completion in October 2024, The Nexus sits in the heart of the Power Park and is being constructed by SEH French.
In the last quarter, groundworks and foundations have been completed and steel structures for 10 of the new units have been erected. Block and brickwork are already underway on these units and the steels for the remaining 6 units have arrived on site and will be constructed shortly. Drainage and further external works are also planned throughout the spring.
The lease of the units is being managed by Bycroft Commercial on behalf of East Suffolk Council and we are keen to speak with interested parties, particularly those who are involved in supporting the clean energy sector.

The development will provide modern premises for local companies and attract businesses to Lowestoft. It incorporates a range of unit sizes, to appeal to both start-up and more established businesses. It is an exciting development opportunity for the Power Park in a town which is already attracting investment from the clean energy sector and other industries.

The Nexus is the first significant project by the council to revitalise this area and aims to drive economic growth as well as providing new employment opportunities.
The development has seen colleagues from East Suffolk Council supported by Allman Woodcock Ltd, work closely with teams from SEH French and Concertus Design & Property Consultants Limited to realise the vision for the site.
