Suffolk Coastal Enabling Communities Budgets

A total of £273,000 has been put aside in 2018/19 to give each elected member of Suffolk Coastal District Council £6,500 to spend on new community projects or to develop projects in their ward, as they see appropriate.

Since the launch of the scheme in December 2013 just over £850,000 has been spent on a wide range of new community initiatives across 600 projects. If you want to access funding through the ECBs or would like more information please contact your District Councillor in the first instance or our Enabling Communities Coordinator.

Visit your district councillor's page to see the types of projects they have funded this financial year and what funds they have remaining.

If you are a community group interested in receiving ECB funding, please contact your Councillor to discuss your project idea. The application form should be completed by yourselves and signed. Once complete, the application should then be sent to your Councillor for them to approve. The Councillor will submit your application.

Suffolk Coastal is keen to promote how its funding is used as it stimulates projects in the district and encourages future applications. Please acknowledge Suffolk Coastal District Council funding support in any relevant publicity.

The Council’s logo, where applicable, and an in text reference to the financial support received from the Council should be used within all project publicity.

If you would like help with a press release or want your project to be officially launched by the Council please contact us.
