Private Sector Housing Strategy

The strategy documents on this page are now out of date and are currently under review.

East Suffolk Private Sector Housing Strategy 2019-2023
East Suffolk Private Sector Housing Strategy Review 2021

The strategy takes its direction from the East Suffolk Housing Strategy and looks to tackle some of the bigger challenges facing the private sector housing field between now and 2023.

East Suffolk Cabinet has adopted this strategy but, it is a working document and we are always pleased to receive feedback. If you wish to make any comments please email our Private Sector Housing Team.

In relation to the grants policy please note that all grants are subject to conditions which, if breached, require the grant to be repaid. Minor Work grant conditions last for 5 years, other grants for 15 years. Below are sample Deeds of Agreement, for the different grant types for information.
