Youngsters can discover more about local flora and fauna this summer with the return of the hugely popular Wildlife Discovery Days at the Landguard Nature Reserve in Felixstowe.

Held next to the Manor Terrace car park on Wednesday 10 and 24 August, from 10am to 3pm, the free summer holiday events are suitable for children of all ages.

Join the Landguard Nature Reserve Ranger for a host of drop-in activities; wildlife crafts, giant games and touch-table finds. You can also build a bug box for your garden at home for a small charge, to cover materials, of £5 per person (cash only).

The amazing Willow Creatures Trail is back to discover too – featuring some of the bugs and beasties which can be spotted at the reserve. From butterflies to seals, hedgehogs to spiders, these wonderful willow creations were made by talented Felixstowe artist, Tracy Barritt-Brown.

“The free Wildlife Discovery Days are designed to be both fun and educational. They are a great way for children to learn more about this Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) at the southern tip of Suffolk’s stunning coastline.”
