Bin collections to resume in East Suffolk

Posted by on 6 January 2026 | Comments

Bin collections in East Suffolk will resume from Wednesday 7 January.

Households in the district that missed bin collections earlier this week due to the cold weather are being advised to leave their bins outside their property and crews will collect them as soon as possible.

Residents are reminded to place all waste inside the bin with the bin closed. Crews are unable to take waste that is beside or left on top of bins.

To allow time for crews to catch up with delayed collections, the garden waste service will be suspended for the rest of this week until Saturday 10 January. Households expecting a garden waste collection this week will receive an automatic extension to their subscription. Garden waste collections due next week are unaffected.

East Suffolk Council would like to thank residents for their patience during this time.
