Funding available to support community wellbeing in Aldeburgh, Leiston and Saxmundham

Posted by on 6 March 2025 | Comments

Voluntary organisations, community groups and town and parish councils in Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and the surrounding villages are invited to apply for grant funding to support people’s wellbeing.

The Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and villages Community Partnership is offering funding through its community wellbeing grant scheme, which is now open for applications. Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available and applications are welcome from groups and organisations working to improve mental health and wellbeing, improve and increase existing or new provision locally, to improve awareness of national and local support services and to signpost people to relevant services when necessary.

Cllr Katie Graham, Chair of the Aldeburgh, Leiston, Saxmundham and villages Community Partnership said: “One of the Community Partnership's priorities is improving the mental health and wellbeing of our residents, and our new grant scheme will help local groups to deliver new projects or support existing ones which boost the general wellbeing of our communities.”

More details, and apply.

Applications close at 9am on Tuesday 8 April.

Last year, the Community Partnership funded over 13,000 leaflets to be distributed to households and businesses in the Community Partnership area to make residents aware of the Council's Well Minds booklets. The booklets provide a valuable resource for people in need of mental health support and are available from community settings across the district, including libraries, community centres and the Council’s network of Warm Welcomes.
