Join Greenprint Forum for an evening exploring eco anxiety

Posted by on 6 February 2025 | Comments

A free event is taking place later this month for people and organisations interesting in exploring the issues of eco anxiety and possible ways of responding positively.

The next Greenprint Forum event takes place on Monday 24 February at East Suffolk House in Melton and will focus on climate anxiety, helping people to understand the impacts and consider the ways these issues can be faced with action, hope and resilience.

Jane Healey, Chair of the Greenprint Forum said: “Following the recent Los Angeles and Arctic wildfires, local flooding events and loss of biodiversity, this event aims to explore aspects of our eco-distress and how we can respond positively to our climate anxiety.”

Guest speakers will be Martin Wilks from the Climate Psychology Alliance, Rob and Sebastiana Black from Ecotherapy East CIC and Paul Hodgkin from Hadleigh Environmental Action Team (HEAT) CIC.

The event takes place at East Suffolk House, Riduna Park in Melton on Monday 24 February from 5.45pm to 9pm and is free to attend.

Many people feel anxious about the environment and research published in 2021 which surveyed 10,000 children in 10 different countries found that respondents were worried about climate change.

The Greenprint Forum is a voluntary network facilitated by East Suffolk Council and established to help enable community based environmental action.
