Lowestoft Town Council has submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to East Suffolk Council, ahead of it undergoing an independent examination, and residents are invited to submit their comments.
East Suffolk Council is publicising the plan and inviting representations, which will be forwarded to the examiners for consideration alongside the plan. Subject to the plan successfully completing all the relevant regulatory stages, the policies and proposals contained in the plan will be used by East Suffolk Council in the determination of planning applications within the Lowestoft Neighbourhood Area.
Cllr Mark Packard, East Suffolk’s cabinet member for Planning and Coastal Management said: “Neighbourhood planning enables residents to help shape the future of their local area, determining the type, location and appearance of new development. The plan is not limited to housing and helps determine the sort of community infrastructure people want in the future. I would therefore encourage Lowestoft residents to view the plan and submit their comments.”
