Residents in Otley are invited to comment on their draft Neighbourhood Plan, ahead of its submission for independent examination.
Submitted by Otley Parish Council, East Suffolk Council is publicising the plan and inviting representations, which will be forwarded to the examiner for consideration alongside the plan. Subject to the plan successfully completing all the relevant regulatory stages, the policies and proposals contained in the plan will be used by East Suffolk Council in the determination of planning applications within the Neighbourhood Area of Otley.
The Neighbourhood Plan establishes planning policies that control the use of land within Otley.
Cllr Mark Packard, East Suffolk’s cabinet member for Planning and Coastal Management said:
“Neighbourhood plans allow residents to have a say in the future of their local area, as well as deciding where any new developments should be and giving guidance on what those new buildings or developments should look like.”
