
A full list of candidates nominated for the upcoming local elections has been published by East Suffolk Council.
The Statement of Persons Nominated is now available, along with information on new voter ID requirements. The statement also includes the location of polling stations in each ward.
Full local elections will be held in East Suffolk on Thursday 4 May 2023. The deadline for nominations to stand for election passed at 4pm on Tuesday 4 April.
Registered voters in East Suffolk will this year receive poll cards carrying information on new requirements to present photographic identification before receiving their ballot paper at the polls.
Voters must take appropriate photographic ID along to vote on 4 May, while postal voters will not be required to provide photo ID.

Anyone yet to register to vote has until 11:59pm on Monday 17 April to do so.
East Suffolk Council is served by 55 councillors, each representing one of 29 separate wards, with some wards larger than others and represented by more than one councillor.
Council Leader, Cllr Steve Gallant will not be standing, having announced his intention to retire following the election.
