Traffic regulation orders

Traffic regulation orders (TROs) are made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and they enable the management of the highway network. Suffolk County Council is the local Highway Authority responsible for making TROs for East Suffolk’s highway network.

The kerb-space management regulations installed via TROs for Suffolk’s highway network may be viewed at Suffolk Traffweb. These regulations are patrolled and civil parking enforcement action taken when necessary in order to encourage compliance thereby facilitating the safe and expeditious movement of all highway users in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004.
