Emergency council housing repairs

Emergency repairs should not be reported by using the online reporting form.

Emergency repairs are generally those that pose a risk to the health and safety of those people within the property, or risk to the property itself.

Examples of emergency repairs could be:

  • gas leaks
  • insecure dwellings
  • water leaks
  • roof leaks
  • faulty electrics
  • heating breakdowns
  • blocked drains
  • dangerous structures

For repairs of an emergency nature you should inform the council urgently, either by telephoning 01502 523593 (Mon- Fri normal hours) or 0800 440 2516 (weekends and out of hours), or in person at one of the following council offices:

  • The Marina Customer Services Centre, Lowestoft
  • Beccles Library, Blyburgate, Beccles
