Get involved (doing your bit)
We are working to meet the challenge of reducing airborne pollutants PM2.5, PM10 and NO2 set by the Government, but success will also require a concerted public effort with each person doing their bit by active travel planning and reducing the reliance on the motor car for travel. This will have other additional benefits as participants will be fitter and healthier by choosing to walk or cycle more regularly and, of course, increased enjoyment of the wonderful East Suffolk landscape.

Plans for Former Deben High School Site, Felixstowe

New nursery building at Holton St Peter Primary School begins to take shape
Construction work has recently begun on a new 30 place standalone nursery building on site at Holton St Peter Primary School in the village of Holton, Halesworth. Suffolk County Council and East Suffolk Council are working together to expand the schools offering to now include children aged two and three years old.

Neighbourhood plans are land use plans usually prepared for an individual town/parish administrative area by the relevant town or parish council. Every neighbourhood plan is different just as every community is different. The decision on whether to undertake a neighbourhood plan will depend on the individual community, the land use planning issues it faces and any long term aspirations. London Road, Lowestoft High Street Heritage Action Zone
Through High Streets Heritage Action Zones (HSHAZ) designation, conservation-led regeneration will make the South Lowestoft Conservation Area a vibrant place to live, work and visit. The HSHAZ will champion the value of heritage within the high street, using that heritage for positive change to address the current decline facing the area. It will encourage sympathetic and sustainable improvements to the built environment, where communities have pride in place and are actively engaged in the area’s protection and presentation through a programme of events and training.
