Melton Neighbourhood Plan Referendum notices
The examination took place by written representation. The examiner’s report recommended that the modifications specified in the report are made and that the Neighbourhood Plan for Melton is submitted for a Referendum.
In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Suffolk Coastal District Council has considered each of the modifications recommended by the examiner and agrees that the Neighbourhood Plan should proceed to Referendum and that the referendum area should be the same as the neighbourhood plan area. This is set out in the Decision Statement.
The neighbourhood plan document will now be updated to incorporate the modifications required and re-titled Referendum Version. It is anticipated that the Referendum date will be 7th December 2017.
During the examination the Examiner asked both District and Parish Councils to clarify a number of matters. Her questions and the responses to these are set out in the document below.
Comments were invited on the Melton Neighbourhood Plan (submission version) between 23rd January and 13 April 2017.
The time period includes an extension to incorporate an erratum of Parish Council responses to Environment Agency comments appended to the November 2016 Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Opinion Statement. This can be viewed with the other submission documentation.
