Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3

East Suffolk Council have secured funding from the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) to help improve the energy efficiency of our houses. A programme of works has been created and we will be contacting tenants over the next three years to ask them to join the scheme.

Possible works could include insulation to lofts and walls, solar panels and upgraded heating measures, as well as improved draught proofing and ventilation measures to ensure issues such as damp and mould can be eradicated.

The fund facilitates a widespread adoption of different measures to raise the efficiency of your home and helps to:

  • deliver warm, energy efficient homes
  • reduce carbon emissions
  • tackle fuel poverty
  • support green jobs
  • upgrade the building fabric of social housing
  • improve the comfort, health and well-being of social housing tenants

The process will include several key surveys completed by our retrofit and installation contractors before works can be approved by DESNZ. We have appointed a dedicated Resident Liaison Officer, who tenants will be able to contact directly to answer any questions you may have.

Resident Liaison Officer

The project has a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), who will be your single point of contact for any questions, queries or concerns you may have throughout the process. We can liaise with the retrofit coordinator and the main contractor on your behalf to ensure that you are happy with the measures being installed in your property and to help you understand what we will need you to do in your home to enable the works to take place.

The RLO is contactable via direct telephone number or by email:
