2016 Quality of Place award winners

The sixth annual Quality of Place awards ceremony took place on 20 October when prizes were awarded to four outstanding local projects.

The awards are a celebration of the effort being made by people across Suffolk Coastal to add to the quality of our environment, by creating high quality designs in both the built and natural environment and helping to conserve our historic buildings.

  • Tony Fryatt, Cabinet portfolio holder for Planning was our Chairman Judge along with the other judges;
  • Neil Montgomery from the Woodbridge Society as our Amenity Society Judge
  • Fiona Cairns, Director of the Suffolk Presentation Society as our Conservation Expert Judge
  • John Lamont, Local Architect as our Design Expert Judge
  • Patricia Shephard, Landscape Architect as our Landscape Expert Judge

The awards were presented by Suffolk Coastal Chairman, Mark Newton with bronze plaques for the category winners and framed certificates for the highly commend schemes.
