Town and parish profiles

Our town and parish profiles contain a range of statistics including population, number of homes and a map of the parish boundary.

Housing Supply

The Statement of Housing Land Supply identifies deliverable land for housing. East Suffolk Council has published its Interim Housing Position Statement (March 2025) in response to the latest National Planning Policy Framework update and increase in housing need figures. The Interim Housing Position Statement states the Council’s new 5 year housing land supply position.

Housing Action Plan

Our Housing Action Plan identifies actions to support the delivery of planned housing growth across the area, responding to the results of the Government’s Housing Delivery Test. The implementation of the Housing Action Plan will be ongoing and it will be reviewed and updated where appropriate to respond to future Housing Delivery Test results.

Employment Land Action Plan

Our Employment Land Action Plan looks to understand the external factors that influence the delivery of employment land in East Suffolk, analyse the implementation of planning permissions, review the delivery of employment allocations, and identifies actions to support the delivery of planned employment growth across the area. The implementation of the Employment Land Action Plan will be ongoing, and it will be reviewed and updated where appropriate.

Brownfield land register

The brownfield land register includes all previously developed land considered suitable, available and achievable for residential development.

Application and Planning Enforcement Statistics

A range of Planning Application and Planning Enforcement Performance Statistics are also published, including those related to numbers and types of applications determined, the numbers of planning enforcement cases investigated and appeal decisions received.
