Housing Land Supply

The National Planning Policy Framework requires planning authorities to update annually a statement setting out the supply of deliverable sites for housing to provide at least five years’ worth of supply against housing requirements. The Statement of Housing Land Supply for the period 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2026 (published October 2021) identifies that a five year supply of housing land can be demonstrated, as follows:

  • The statement confirms that the Suffolk Coastal Local Plan area of East Suffolk has a housing land supply of 6.52 years.
  • The statement confirms that the Waveney Local Plan area of East Suffolk has a housing land supply of 5.74 years.
