A rowing ferry operates across the River Blyth about 3 cables from the entrance to the Harbour.
All skippers are requested to approach and pass the ferry with extreme caution and at very slow speed. Wash must be kept to the minimum.
Due regard must be given to the limitations of the rowing boat ferry and the effect a following tide may have on the stopping ability and manoeuvrability of a vessel using the River.
Warning signs are positioned 100m either side of the ferry crossing.
Rowing ferry has priority at all times.
