Filming and audio recording at council meetings

We are committed to being open and transparent in the way we conduct decision-making. Recording is permitted at those council meetings which are open to the public, except where it is resolved that the public be excluded, as the information being discussed is confidential.

As a courtesy to those members of the public who may be attending the meeting but do not wish to be recorded,we ask for advance notice of filming, videoing, photography or audio recording. This will allow the Chairman of the meeting to ensure any request by a member of the public not to be recorded is considered.

Anyone wishing to record at a council meeting should read the East Suffolk filming protocol or contact the Democratic Services team.
