Delegation to Cabinet members - Cabinet functions

The Leader of the Council has authority to delegate Cabinet functions to an individual member of the Cabinet by giving notice to that effect to the relevant Cabinet Member, the Chief Executive and the Monitoring Officer. 

This is in accordance with paragraph 5.3 of Section D of the Scheme of Delegation which can be found in Part 2 of the Council’s Constitution. The Leader of the Council may also withdraw any delegation made by him to an individual Cabinet Member by giving notice to the relevant Cabinet Member, to the Chief Executive and to the Monitoring Officer.

A list of the delegations given by the Leader to individual Cabinet Members is provided below:

2019
23 August	In relation to Exemplar Grants that are due to be awarded on 10 September 2019, and for the future awards of Exemplar Grants, these to be made by the Cabinet Member for Communities, Tourism and Leisure. In making these decisions, the Cabinet Member will take advice from members of the Community Partnerships Steering Group.
