It is now much easier to manage your tenancy using our new online service, called myHome East Suffolk. The service is accessible at any time of day, every day of the year which means you can access it whenever it’s convenient for you. It also removes the need to contact our Housing or Customer Services teams during office hours.

Signing up to myHome East Suffolk is quick and easy. You may already have a My East Suffolk account which enables you to use the council’s online services, such as managing a garden waste subscription or reporting a missed bin collection. Using the same email and password, you can now sign up for myHome East Suffolk.

Once you have registered for myHome, you can easily view or change details about your tenancy, check rent charges and details of payments, set up direct debits, request repairs and more. You can also send messages directly to the Housing Team without any need to call or email.

Using myHome allows you to stay in control of your tenancy and resolve any problems quickly and easily.

The myHome Team are here to help so if you have any questions, please contact us. If you are unable to use the new service, our Housing Team will still be able to help.

Only lead or joint tenants can register for a myHome account.

I have set up a Direct Debit, but my rent account shows I am in debt?

We apply your rent weekly, so this will show on your current balance. Once we have processed your Direct Debit payment this will update your balance.

I have made a payment, why is it not showing in my statement?

A payment will appear in your rent statement once we have processed it, which can take up to five working days from when you made the payment.

I have a Shared Ownership property, can I request repairs using myHome?

You are responsible for any repairs to a Shared Ownership property. If you submit a repair request using myHome it will not be processed. However, if your home is less than 12 months old some work may be the responsibility of the builder. If any defects occur in this period, please call the housing repairs team on 03330 162 000 and we will arrange a repair via the original developer. If the repair is not a defect, the cost of the call out and repair will be recharged to you.
