Carlton Colville Town Council are in the process of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan.

A referendum was held on Thursday 15 May 2025. Of the people who voted, 73% voted in favour of the Carlton Colville Neighbourhood Plan.

Decision Statement

East Suffolk Council and The Broads Authority (the Local Planning Authorities) have issued the decision statement for the Carlton Colville Neighbourhood Plan

Additional Focused Consultation

East Suffolk Council and The Broads Authority proposed to make modifications to the Neighbourhood Plan which differed from those recommended by the Examiner. Comments on the Local Planning Authorities’ proposals were invited between 11 December 2024 and 5 February 2025.

Examination

The examination of the Carlton Colville Neighbourhood Plan was carried out by Independent Examiner Nigel McGurk. The Examiner's Report was received on 15 January 2024.

Carlton Colville Town Council submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to East Suffolk Council and the Broads Authority ahead of it being submitted for independent examination. East Suffolk Council publicised the plan and invited representations between 10 May and 5pm on 21 June 2023. Consultation notice.
